see how we can partner
On Feb. 16-19, 2024, Trinity Mennonite Church (Glendale, AZ) worked with Oc3an View Ministries to renovate homes and engage neighborhood kids in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. This is a video they filmed about their experience with us. We encourage you to watch it if you are considering booking a trip with us as we think it’s a great glimpse into what we do.
Frequently asked questions
What are the service projects?
Opportunities can consist of building a home for a family (which includes framing, drywalling, painting, plastering, etc.), outreach in a community center, rehab centers or local churches and schools. There are many activities to choose from and we're very flexible to accommodate your mission group's needs.
What skills do i need to have?
None but the desire to learn and most importantly, a heart to serve. We will supply you with opportunities to learn any new skills needed for any project.
what will we eat?
We will be preparing some delicious Mexican meals throughout your stay. We'll discuss the menu when you sign up with us.
where will we stay?
Currently, you will be staying at our partner Hotel El Mirador, located right on the beach overlooking the beautiful Sea of Cortez. The hotel has nice and clean rooms with two double beds, a private bath and a mini fridge.
what is the weather like?
It depends upon the time of year, but most of the time it is wonderfully pleasant. We'll check on the climate before the mission trip.
what is the age limit to serve?
One of the beauties or working with us is that it is a great opportunity for families. All ages are welcome, and the service projects will be assigned accordingly.
what safety concerns are there?
Oc3an View Ministry has been working in Puerto Peñasco for ten years and we have never encountered an incident. We take all precautions to make sure all of our guests are safe.
what documents do i need to travel?
To get back into the United States, you will need a current passport. Children under the age of 16, traveling with their parents, can enter back in using an original birth certificate.
